First Time Camper

Hi, everyone! It’s me, Noah… Summer’s older and much wiser brother. "Only six years old", you may say, but I pack a lot of brainpower.

Ok, now that my sister is standing here glaring at me, I better continue on.

So, today is the beginning of something called Camp Hardknock, winter session. I have no idea what this camp thing is, as it’s my little sister’s first time going. She is excited and nervous. I told her not to worry, and that she’ll have a great time. But, you know little sisters, whine… whine… whine… OUCH!!!!

She didn’t have time to write this post, but she sure has time to hover over me while I do it.

Right now, she’s kind of going a little nuts with her packing. I mean how many outfits do you really need? She’s going to be there a week, and I swear I’ve sat through about 25 outfit changes today alone. Not to mention, she won’t stop asking her gazillion questions.

“What should I wear to sleep the first night?”

“Should I take an extra toothbrush, in case I drop one in the toilet?”

“Does this outfit make me look fat?”

That last question resulted in a big bruise on my left arm. Hey! She’s four… she still has her baby fat.

Anyway, for the last two weeks all I have heard about is camp this and camp that. Frankly, I think she’s a bit obsessed. And then, what is this dance thing? I repeat… she’s four! She isn’t supposed to be going out with other boys and dancing. Most boys her age don’t even wash their hands right. Do you know what that can lead to? Believe me, I know what I’m talking about here. I’m a wise older man of six now.

Well, I better get going. She wanted to watch a movie with me tonight before heading out. I’m thinking of “Friday the 13^th”. She has no idea what that movie is, and well… since she’s going to camp, I think that might be the perfect choice for her.

See… I’m a good big brother… no matter what she says!
